Braunton Library is a popular and vibrant community space open six days a week, with volunteers running the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The library is alive with regular groups such as Lego Club, Wii Club, Bounce and Rhyme, story time, knit, craft and natter, a monthly film club, colouring and coffee plus extra children’s craft sessions in the holidays, all held within the dedicated children’s library.

The library also holds author visits, IT sessions, reading groups for adults and children as well as schemes like Book Track and Book Crawl. The library regularly updates displays and information to help visitors find new and interesting books, audiobooks, DVD’s, large print books.

The library is fully accessible and has a small pay and display car park next door.

Really Wild Learning Show

Really Wild Learning is an educational animal encounter business that promotes conservation and inspires an interest in wildlife through fun interaction with animals. Their animal team enjoy meeting children of all ages and it allows them to keep and breed other critically endangered species and contribute to conservation projects. Really Wild Learning’s ‘Space’ themed Summer Reading Challenge show will introduce audiences to some of their ‘Alien Animals’ in a fun and exciting way. Why not come along to the show, visitors can expect animal experiences that are out of this world! Tickets are £3 per child, available in advance from Braunton Library.

Build a Lego Moon Rover In groups of 3 the children will design and build motorised Lego Moon Rovers. We will test the moon rovers over a Lego moon surface, measure distance and time how long it takes. Please book tickets in advance. Tickets £5 per child from Braunton Library
