Braunton Library is a popular and vibrant community space open six days a week, with volunteers running the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The library is alive with regular groups such as Lego Club, Wii Club, Bounce and Rhyme, story time, knit, craft and natter, a monthly film club, colouring and coffee plus extra children’s craft sessions in the holidays, all held within the dedicated children’s library.

The library also holds author visits, IT sessions, reading groups for adults and children as well as schemes like Book Track and Book Crawl. The library regularly updates displays and information to help visitors find new and interesting books, audiobooks, DVD’s, large print books.

The library is fully accessible and has a small pay and display car park next door.

Acting Workshop for 8-13 year olds

Acting Workshop for 8-13 year olds. On Wednesday 23 October, 2-4pm at Braunton Parish Hall Do you like performing? Then this 2 hour fully interactive workshop is for you - led by professional actors from multi story theatre company. How do actors get ‘inside’ a character? How do they find the right ‘voice’ that will carry to the back of a large theatre or hall? Using a number of simple - but fun - physical exercises we will explore the best ways for you to create characters and how to find the easy, natural sounding voice to express what your characters need to say on stage. Wear loose comfortable clothing - for ease of movement - and be prepared to amaze yourself! Tickets £5 per person, available from Braunton Library. Supported by Fullabrook CIC and North Devon District Council.
