Dawlish Library is a welcoming community space where you can borrow books, DVDs and audiobooks, and meet lots of people at the library’s regular events. There are 11 public computers which are free to use for up to 2 hours a day, and the library offers scanning, printing and copying facilities.

There is free Wifi throughout the building, a quiet study area for those looking for a relaxing space and separate areas for children and teens. The library hold regular children’s events, clubs and activities all year round.

All About the Mandolin

A talk and demonstration by Matt Norman, a skilled and nationally recognised player of the instrument. From the streets of Naples to the courts of France and the concert halls of America this little instrument has grabbed people's imagination for centuries.  In this engaging talk Matt will explain the history of the mandolin and play examples of a variety of types.  Matt is a fine mandolinist and an entertaining speaker so this promises to be an illuminating evening featuring a combination of short recitals, demonstrations and observations. Tickets are £5 and limited so please book early. Available in advance from Dawlish Library or may be booked in advance by emailing d.a.gore@exeter.ac.uk and paying at the door.
