Coffee Morning - Libraries Week

What better way to celebrate Libraries Week than with coffee and cake?! Our staff will be lovingly baking some delicious goodies, served alongside fresh teas and coffees provided by The Owl and The Pussycat Cafe. You'll find our stall in the main lobby of the library. Libraries Week runs from 8th - 13th October, and we'd like to celebrate all the great things that libraries do. We'll be fundraising for our library service which is a registered charity, as well as raising awareness, so donations will be gratefully received! We're looking forward to it!

Author Storytime: Finding Ray's Key

Pop along for a children's storytime session run by local author Sam Goddard and illustrator Owen Williams. This special event will include storytelling, book-signing and a chance to draw with the illustrator himself. 'Finding Ray’s Key’ is an illustrated rhyming story with a universal message that can be appreciated by all, young or old. The story’s young protagonist Ray (who often feels quite blue) wonders, ‘What is the key to being happy?’. He one day decides to go on a journey to find this key. The story is underpinned by Reiki and Mindfulness teaching - but you don't need to be familiar with this at all to enjoy the book. This event is part of Active Life Active Mind.
