Newton Abbot Library sits within The Passmore Edwards Centre, a focal point for the local community. As well as the wide range of books, music, films, magazines and other resources, visitors to the area enjoy the Centre’s Café and courtyard, while community organisations and commercial companies can hire the Centre’s meeting rooms for events and meetings.

The Centre houses the UK’s second largest collection of railway studies books and reference materials after York's National Railway Museum and is an access point for adult learning.

Sign and Chat group with Total Communication NOW

Total Communication Now is a Speech and Language Therapy led service, operating across Devon. This informal Sign and Chat group meets in the Café within the Library. This session's theme will be finger spelling the alphabet, as well as learning signs for relatives/family. For more information about the session, please call 07917266201

The Duck Trail Author Visit

Join us for a very special storytime, where author Steve G Matthews will be reading his own book, The Duck Trail. There will be loads of fun activities to take part in, including skittles, hook a duck and colouring. There will be free postcards and bookmarks to take home too. There's no need to book and it's completely free, but donations are welcome.
