Library services in Devon

Libraries Unlimited runs the public library service in Devon. We are commissioned to run 50 libraries (plus four in Torbay) and four mobile libraries, and we were established in April 2016. Each local library has something for everyone: books and information, eBooks, audiobooks and digital magazines, music, films, computers with access to the Internet, free Wi-Fi and much more.

Since our inception we’ve proven to be a ground-breaking charity model for running libraries in the UK, bringing ideas, imagination, creativity and knowledge to enrich people’s lives and build thriving communities. We do this by:

  • Promoting and encouraging a love of reading
  • Providing free access to information to help people in their everyday lives
  • Inspiring people of all ages to learn, imagine, create, succeed and realise their potential
  • Enabling everyone to explore and connect to the wider world
  • Offering a welcoming spaces
  • Supporting the health and wellbeing of individuals and local communities

The charity is headed up by a Board of Trustees and a Senior Management Team who have experience and knowledge in delivering high-quality library services.
