Laura Loft is a Musician, Singer-Songwriter, Performer and Educator based in Exeter.

Their past work has included being a Singer-Songwriter with a folk trio band releasing music and touring plus working as a session singer for a little time. Laura now writes songs as commissions for many projects and have been focusing on Children's Music Making projects for the past 4 years including writing and self published 'Big Emotions: Mindful Music For Little People'; a creative music wellbeing resource for EYFS/KS1 3-7yr olds. This is accompanied by an audio book, instrumental soundtrack plus a schools activity pack which includes 5 originally composed songs plus a new live music tour for schools coming this summer! Laura recently become a Lyricist for Children’s Entertainment Company Moonbug Entertainment which is great fun.

Who else makes art like this?

Laura has an eclectic taste in music having being trained classically on piano and cello so loving composers like Shostakovich and Chopin and have been inspired by a variety of popular artists including Fleetwood Mac, Ani DiFranco, Paul Simon, Nick Mulvey, Bahamas, India Arie, Laura Veirs, Beatenburg, John Butler Trio and Jack Johnson. Laura recommends taking a listen to the track O.P. Jedediah by The Dip. The riffs and groove is just so cool and makes you feel like the sun is shining and you want to dance.
