Crediton Library is open five days a week and is fully accessible to all, with off-road parking, including disabled space. Aside from a wide range of fiction and non-fiction book titles, the library offers DVDs and audiobooks to borrow which can all be issued using the self-service points.

The library has a small study area with free Wi-Fi, including 9 public access computers, which are free to use for up to 2 hours each day, plus printing, photocopying and scanning facilities. There are a range of regular events for all ages, both social and various informal learning activities, such as Baby Bounce and Rhyme, knitting group, Lego Club and reading groups for adults and younger readers.

Crediton Library Events

Community Bench Project
Crediton Library is partnering with Carving Community CIC, to deliver a community bench making project in Crediton Town Square. Young people and older generations are invited to participate in the making of a sculpted oak bench together. Using hand tools and a fallen oak from nearby woods, we will be making a carved bench for the Crediton Library Community Garden, to be enjoyed by the local community. The project dates are: Sunday: 10.30am to 2.30pm 11yrs+ October 3/10/17/24/31 + November 7 Wednesday: 4pm to 8pm 15yrs+ October 6/13/20/27 + November 3/10 Turn up or call James on 07811 502 354 to find out more.

Storytime and craft activities for pre-school children and their carers. Drop in and join us for lots of fun listening to a story or two and then a simple craft activity - sticking, gluing and colouring. Come and be creative. Meets every two weeks.

Quilt Tour

A quilt inspired by a love of books and reading is going on tour around libraries in Devon.

The quilt has been created by Exmouth & District University of the Third Age (U3A) members and depicts shelves of books and a curious cat.
