Crediton Library is open five days a week and is fully accessible to all, with off-road parking, including disabled space. Aside from a wide range of fiction and non-fiction book titles, the library offers DVDs and audiobooks to borrow which can all be issued using the self-service points.

The library has a small study area with free Wi-Fi, including 9 public access computers, which are free to use for up to 2 hours each day, plus printing, photocopying and scanning facilities. There are a range of regular events for all ages, both social and various informal learning activities, such as Baby Bounce and Rhyme, knitting group, Lego Club and reading groups for adults and younger readers.

LEGO and Duplo Club
No instructions, just imagination! Access to masses of LEGO elements and interesting pieces. Drop in and join us for some brilliant building, crazy creations and incredible inventions! Adults will get a chance to chill out with a cup of tea. Every Monday.

Unlocking the Cage is an immersive visual and audio journey through the lives and works of four of these women.

Unlocking the Cage has been researched, written and narrated by award-winning author Kim Sherwood. Shortlisted for the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award 2019, she is known for her debut novel Testament and is the first woman to have written a James Bond novel with the first book in her trilogy due for publication in September 2022.

Unlocking the Cage can be enjoyed alone, or in groups of up to 4 people at a time and takes approximately 28 minutes to experience in full.

All reading material is provided on the day by Lucy who facilitates the group. There is no monthly prescribed book that everyone has to read before the session, therefore the session can be enjoyed by people with dementia. Please drop in to the library or phone 01392 772578 to book a place. The session is free but there is a suggested donation of £1 for refreshments.
