Dawlish Library is a welcoming community space where you can borrow books, DVDs and audiobooks, and meet lots of people at the library’s regular events. There are 11 public computers which are free to use for up to 2 hours a day, and the library offers scanning, printing and copying facilities.

There is free Wifi throughout the building, a quiet study area for those looking for a relaxing space and separate areas for children and teens. The library hold regular children’s events, clubs and activities all year round.

Christmas Past and Present - Boo to a Goose theatre

Tickets £5 per child in advance from Dawlish Library, adults free. With scents of gingerbread and Christmas spices, we enter the home of Mother and Father Christmas, with cheeky elves and sleepy reindeer, and experience their story like never before! Joyful and nostalgic, the show promises to be a wonderful festive treat, with songs around the tree and a present from Father Christmas for every child. Suitable for under 5 year olds. Illustrated talk by artist Sonya Marshall

Sonya Marshall has been a professional artist for more than twenty seven years, eighteen of those have been working to commission from her studio here in Dawlish. Exquisitely detailed oil on canvas is her speciality. Her paintings are captivating and evocative with a wide subject range ranging from figures, wildlife and woodland paths to ships on rough seas.
