Summer Reading Challenge at Torrington Library
The Summer Reading Challenge, presented by The Reading Agency, is delivered in partnership with public libraries and funded by Arts Council England. The Challenge encourages children aged 4 to 11 to enjoy the benefits of reading for pleasure over the summer holidays, providing lots of fun as well as helping to prevent the summer reading ‘dip’. Can you read 6 books over summer? 📚 📚 This year’s theme is Gadgeteers, created in partnership with Science Museum Group. Pick up your Gadgeteers collector poster at Torrington Library.

Join us for a friendly walk exploring the routes around Torrington. These gentle walks are suitable for people who have not walked much before, are looking to be more active, or are returning from injury or illness. After the walk relax with a cuppa at a local cafe. We meet every Thursday outside the library in Sydney House Car Park. Walks are free, but a donation of £1 is appreciated. If you would like to join please contact the library for more information and to book a place.
