Classic Film Night

'The Maltese Falcon' is a stylish film noir from 1941 starring Humphrey Bogart as a private detective competing to obtain a jewel-encrusted falcon statuette. With Mary Astor starring alongside as the femme fatale client. The free screening starts at 18:30pm so please arrive in time to help yourself to refreshments for a donation & get seated. These films nights are run by volunteers - your donations ensure it can carry on. Flyer with full season of films available from the library.

Thursday 27th February 2-3pm A Talk by Mary-Flowa Houldsworth, Mary worked in the Kunduz region of Afghanistan as a Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors without Borders nurse and midwife. Mary will share her experience and the stories she heard of those forced to flee their home and become refugees. Tickets £3 inc refreshments. Book and pay in advance at the library.
