Libraries have always been democratic spaces, open to and used by everyone, and we want to use creativity and technology to find new ways to make our libraries accessible.

This Women's History Month, experience a listening booth full of stories of contemporary women's activism from the South West, consider what activism means to you and maybe even share your own story. The booth will be in the Rougemont Lounge of Exeter Library from 6th-31st March, come along and have a listen.

Award Winning Cartoonist Tony Husband Comic Book Workshop

To accompany his exhibition in Exeter Library, award winning Private Eye cartoonist Tony Husband will be coming to Barnstaple and Exeter Libraries to deliver an all ages cartoon day. Tony will be on hand to help you discover and create your very own comic strip, and your contribution will feed into a new comic made over both days that will become available at all Devon Libraries for all to enjoy. Tony Husband & 35 Years of Private Eye Cartoons

From January until the end of March 2019 nationally renowned cartoonist Tony Husband has brought his award-winning works to an exclusive exhibition at Exeter Library. Come and browse the exhibition throughout the building, free of charge. The illustrations have been specially prepared for this display and document Tony’s work for the UK's number one best-selling news and current affairs magazine, Private Eye. The display can be seen during all library opening times.

An evening with Chris Chapman's talking about and showing his photography and 'Hope Bourne' documentary about an extraordinary woman and her beloved Exmoor. This event is hosted by The Friends of Crediton Library and refreshments will be available. Booking is essential at the library.
