A Book of Rather Strange Animal - Meet the Author

Description: From the creator of @StrangeAnimals on twitter comes 'A Book of Rather Strange Animals' detailing 100 of the weirdest creatures form around the world. Come and meet the author Caleb Compton who will be giving a short talk about his book and why he came to write it, opening up some questions and then a book signing. The book aims to highlight the importance of conservation and raise awareness of lesser-known endangered species. Tickets are available from the library for this free event. Description: Meetings held every 2nd Wednesday of the month. Would you like to see how places have changed? Do you have memories of places that you would like to share? This free-to-view website archive provides a marvellous view of the changing face of British Heritage in the 20th Century. The group aims to further awareness and knowledge of the archive as a resource for research and to contribute to images in a way which is informative for other viewers. Computers available or bring your own laptop. No prior computer experience necessary. There is no charge but participants should be members of U3A.
