Autobiography Writing Class

Meeting the third Tuesday of each month for the rest of 2018 we shall be running a course on writing your autobiography. February's session covers why and how with extracts from Alan Johnson's 'This Boy' and Nigel Slater's 'Toast', among others. At the end of each session a theme will be decided for you write about at home and bring back to the next meeting. Februrays subject is Parents. Refreshments available and all money goes to the library.

Every last Thursday of the month, a season of classic films in the library. Entrance is FREE. This months film will be multi-award winning 'To Kill a Mockingbird' including Best Actor for Gregory Peck, Best Writing Adapted screenplay and Best Original Score. If you've read the book but never seen the film then this is your chance. Refreshments provided, all donations go to the library to fund further events.

Aimed at pre-school families, you’ll be able to follow a story walk looking for clues out in our beautiful landscape. We will then head back to the library for snacks, natural crafts and entertainment with a mix of stories, songs and puppets. These events will take place both in the library and outdoors so please dress appropriately for the weather There will also be a free goody bag for each child at the end. These events are made possible through support from Unlimited Potential, Arts Council England and in partnership with Beaford Arts and the North Devon Biosphere team. Please meet at the Library.
