Northam Library is situated on the main road through the town and has free car parking for library users and easy access to the library. There is a wide selection of books and audiobooks available, whilst DVDs and music CDs can be requested free of charge. The library has a lively sewing group that meets once a week, a fortnightly Scrabble group and a monthly newspaper discussion group. Volunteers are available for one to one help with Ancestry and laptops/ tablets.

The children’s area has a selection of board and picture books, junior fiction and non-fiction and story CDs. Bounce and Rhyme sessions are held weekly during term times, there is a fortnightly Lego Club and various children’s events are held during school holidays.

Calling all children. Have you heard of Booktrack? Book Track is a reading scheme for children aged 6 and over to support you in developing a love of reading and your confidence in reading. What about reading 100 books? Are you up for this challenge? Then, start reading any books of your choice, collect your personal folder from Northam Library (email or telephone for appointment to collect) if you don't have one. You will be able to collect badges and stickers as you go along and we cannot wait to hear all about your progress. Reading is fun! Enjoy! Temporary opening hours - 
Here at Northam Library we will be able to offer a collection service for books from Wednesday 20th January. This will be strictly by PRIOR ARRANGEMENT and by APPOINTMENT only. Request your books by phone 01237 475 111 or email northam.library@librariesunlimited.org.uk. We will arrange a date and time for you to collect your books at the door, this will be a contactless collection.
