Ottery St Mary Library moved into the former NatWest Bank building in the centre of the town in February 2017. The new library is light, bright and airy, with a wonderfully colourful and spacious children's area.
The Library has a varied selection of stock, including the Coleridge Collection, with books about the life and work of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, who was born in Ottery St Mary. In April 2017 the library’s opening hours were extended by a group of keen volunteers, who run the library for two extra sessions a week. The library is also supported by a very active friends group called, Friends of Ottery Library (FOOL).
Ottery St Mary Tourist Information Centre are also based in the Library and can be contacted on the following days: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10am - 12.30pm. They can be reached on 07749134870 or emailed at info@otterytourism.org.uk
