Our libraries will be closed on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June for the Spring Bank Holiday and Jubilee. (Topsham Library will also be closed on Saturday 4th June).
Services may differ per library. Learn more on our Covid-19 updates page.
Seaton Library will be closing for three weeks to undergo a full makeover. The library will be closed from Thursday 24th March and reopens on Wednesday 13th April.
As part of the makeover, a new Business and IP Centre (BIPC) is being installed to help give a boost to local businesses.
Book loans will be extended to cover the closure period and customers are encouraged to use online services to reserve, renew and browse or to visit their nearest libraries at Axminster, Colyton, Honiton and Sidmouth. For more information please read our Libraries Unlimited press release on Seaton makeover
Seaton Library is situated at the heart of the community it serves and is a lively base for many activities for adults and children. There is a wide selection of fiction, non-fiction and audiobooks for loan and DVDs to hire. There are 14 computers, which are free to use for up to 2 hours a day for library members and printing/photocopying facilities as well as scanners.
Children and teenagers both have their own separate section and the library staff run a weekly Bounce & Rhyme session for Under 5s and their carers, regular story times and holiday activity sessions for Primary School children as well as a teen session every Thursday during term-time. Visit the library and you may find a Friends of Seaton Library Coffee morning underway, a craft group for adults taking place or maybe an IT session for beginners in the Learning Suite.
