St Thomas Library is open five days a week and holds a variety of adult and children’s books, audiobooks and DVDs. The library can reserve items from other libraries in Devon accessing millions of books for a small fee. There is a range of children’s picture books, fiction, comic books, and audiobooks, as well as weekly singing sessions for toddlers and frequent children’s events including craft days. Book Track and the Summer Reading Challenge are active at this branch.

There are 6 computers available for free for up to two hours per day and printing, copying and scanning facilities are available with free WiFi throughout. The library can be hired for events and meetings.

In the 14th Century, the Emperor of China conceived the law book, the Great Ming Code. In this illustrated talk, Somerset writer Dr Justin Newland will discuss how the rule of law reached into every aspect of people's lives.
