The Infant's Letter Box

Made and sold by Joh Marshall C.1800

This is a beautiful example of educational material of its time. It consists of a stunning wooden box containing two volumes, and a mini book for each letter of the alphabet. Each book is wrapped around a letter from 'mother', congratulating the child for learning another letter.

  • Repairing of paper where needed
  • glue and strengthen box where needed
  • Clean outside wooden box
  • Paste and repair paper flowers on the cover of volumes and box lid
  • Unpick and stitch volumes I & II
