Totnes Library is a busy modern library, set in the heart of the bustling South Devon market town. Built onto impressive Georgian building The Mansion, it is a bright, welcoming library with panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The library is open five days a week and offers an attractive community and study space with computer access, free Wi-Fi and comfortable seating.

The library has eleven computers plus scanning, printing and photocopying facilities. The library boasts dedicated collections of books and resources for children, teenagers and local history as well as sizeable DVD and audiobook collections. The colourful children’s area is very well used by borrowers and those coming to regular children’s events.

Join author Michael Jecks for a talk about his latest book, The Dead Don’t Wait. The new book follows the disreputable pickpocket and reluctant assassin Jack Blackjack as he tries to escape an accusation of murder. Michael will talk about his books, his career, and the life of a writer in the 21st Century. Tickets are £5, either from the library in advance or on the door. Refreshments will be provided.

A two hour Lego and Technic Lego workshop designing and building Moon Rovers. In groups of 3, you will design and build motorised Lego Moon Rovers. Test them over a Lego moon surface, measure the distance and how long it takes. For 6 years+ and adults are very welcome to join in the fun. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the session. Booking is advised, and tickets £5. If you’re not joining as a team, Julian will match you into a group.
